This hydroponic nutrient solution was developed by Hoagland and Snyder in 1933 and it’s one of the most popular solution compositions for growing plants (in the scientific world at least !). The Hoagland solution provides every nutrient necessary for plant growth being appropriate for the growth of a large variety of plant species. it is suitable for plant cell culture.

0.05mg/l    Copper (ii) Sulfate

0.22mg/l    Zinc Sulfate

0.02mg/l    Ammonium Sulfate

Component of Hoagland solution powder B (Modified Calcium salt):

4mg/l Calcium salt

Using Method: dissolve Hoagland solution powder A  1.260g and Hoagland solution powder B 0.945g into 1L distilled water, heat and autoclave if necessary
