Suitable for the cultivation of a wide variety of organism types, including bacteria, yeasts and molds. Brain Heart Infusion Agar is a general-purpose medium that can be used as a medium for aerobic bacteriology and for the primary recovery of fungi from clinical specimens.

Formulation per one liter:
17.5 g          Beef heart infusion from
10 g       Proteose Peptone

2 g  Dextrose

5 g  Sodium Chloride

2.5 g  Disodium Phosphate

pH 7.4 ± 0.1 @ 25°C
